Wowee, May just flew past and I can’t believe it’s time for June Resolutions already! I posted just three blog-posts in May. I can barely remember the last time I was so quiet!
To be fair to myself, I haven’t been doing a lot of knitting recently – I knew this when I set my May Resolution, and I’ve been quite lenient on my June ones! I didn’t even blog about my May Resolution, what a slacker I was.
Instead of knitting, I have been occupying myself with my hamsters, various birthdays and learning to draw. It has been an exciting month.
May Resolution
I decided to go easy on myself and have just one resolution: finish Erquy. I completed the piece on May 8th! This was because of my trip to Cape Town and Durban, and lots of knitting time on planes. It was a great accomplishment, and for the rest of May I worked very slowly on some toe-up socks.
I’m actually wearing Erquy now – it’s very comfortable and has got a great reception from everyone who has seen it and recognised it as handmade, so definite craft points for that. The yarn is from Brazil, so it’s a double-happy garment!
June Resolutions
I have tried to be reasonable when setting these, so they seem a little boring looking at them. I am finding it hard to concentrate on knitting, so here they are:
- Complete one sleeve on Garland
- Finish socks
- Cast on alpaca dress
I am already quite a way along with the sleeve of Garland, but I’m not going to spoil the surprise, and you will see it when it’s done! Here it is as it was a month ago.
And below are the socks as they were last week!
I’m feeling a bit more motivated to continue with real life this month – I have only just recovered from my trip to South Africa, and it feels good to almost be back to real life again.
Much love,
Corrie xx

I absolutely love your Erquy! The colors are great, the design looks amazing on you and now I think I really want one for me!
Thank you! You should totally do it, it’s a great knit.
