My depression has been rather bad recently, and reached a peak last night with a big panic attack that had lead to me feeling drained and pathetic. I’m not looking for sympathy, this is merely back-story to THE PERFECT EXCUSE TO ROLL IN PILES OF STASH YARN.
My stash has needed sorting out for a long while, but I’ve been putting it off. There are skeins that need to be wound into balls, patterns to be assigned to yarn, photos to be taken and Ravelry to be updated. I’m really excited to get going, and as a starting point have taken the tactic that I use for cleaning my room – dump everything on the bed because you can’t sleep until you’re finished!
The added challenge is having just a few hours till JS gets home, and I also have to prepare for my Graduation tomorrow.
Here is my starting point.
I’m really, really excited to get this done. Who knew that feeling so crappy would give me all this motivation?!
How is your stash organised?
Much love,
Corrie xx
hope you’re feeling better, fondling yarn sounds like wonderful therapy.
Dumping everything on the bed doesn’t work for me, I usually just swish it all to the floor where it remains until I feel like cleaning!
By the way, I’ve nominated you for a blog award! http://omlair.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/awesomesauce.html
Thank you so much Tanya :)
Thank you thank you thank you Tanya! So lovely.
It didn’t work, I got bored halfway through and just dumped it all back in my trunk. I did rediscover some gorgeous yarn that have been turned into mittens, so it wasn’t a total waste of time!
